Location



Despite being in such a peaceful location, Victory Oak is well connected so getting about locally and further afield is easy.

CAR

Victory Oak is set back from the main A31 road that links Ringwood with Poole and, in the other direction, the M27 towards Portsmouth or the M3 to London.

BUS

A local bus stops outside Victory Oak every hour and takes just twenty minutes to get to Ringwood.

BY BICYCLE

With flat lanes and several cycle paths in the area, travelling by bike is a fast, easy option.

TRAIN

Bournemouth is the nearest train station, a 30-minute drive away. From here, you can be in London within two hours. Or from Salisbury, a 40-minute drive away, trains to London are just an hour and a half and to Bath it's less than an hour.

PLANE

Bournemouth Airport is a 17-minute drive from Victory Oak and has flights to many European destinations. Southampton Airport is 32 minutes away and offers flights to a wider range of European towns and cities. For long-haul travel you can reach Heathrow in and hour and a half by car.

FERRY

Poole Ferry terminal is just over a 30-minute drive. From here, there are a number of scheduled fast ferry services to take you to Gurnsey, Jersey, and St Malo, Brittany – the perfect gateway to Western France.

Help To Buy

 

How it works


Help to Buy means you could afford to buy a brand new home with an equity loan of up to 20%, meaning you may only need a mortgage of 75%.

The Help to Buy scheme is a Government-backed initiative for first-time buyers, as well as people moving up the property ladder.

The scheme is available on new build homes valued up to £600,000 to all UK residents, of any age. All you will need is a 75% mortgage from a bank or building society. The balance of up to 20% will be covered by a Government equity loan. This equity loan is interest-free for the fi rst fi ve years after which there is an interest charge of 1.75% on the loan.

In the Budget on 22 November 2017, the Chancellor of the Exchequer announced a relief from stamp duty land tax (SDLT) for first time buyers. The relief will apply to purchases of residential property for £500,000 or less, provided the purchaser intends to occupy the property as their only or main residence. First time buyers purchasing their first home for £300,000 or less will pay no SDLT. Where the purchase price is over £300,000 but does not exceed £500,000 they will pay 5% on the amount above £300,000.
